Or at least, it was while I drove over the Alps...

Boy was I glad I had winter tyres on the car!

I've got a few more, I need to edit out the license plates though... the young lady on the front seat is my 90-year old grandmother, who was quite pleased by the little trip to the "rifugio".

Faultless all the way down to Rome 1200-odd miles...

The only issue was that it uses a little oil (about half a liter over the 1200 miles); which is common for these engines... I'll give it a good service when it gets back.

Left it in Rome, going to drive it back soon... let's see how she keeps up

No - she lives in Italy. I picked her up in Turin, brought her by car to the refuge (which her husband, and my grandfather) had defended during the war... so it was a good trip for her.

That said, she's still fitter than I am... she was complaining that I was driving her up to the refuge instead of letting her walk up the mountain path...
