Wiper intermittent not working W123 1985

My W123 wipers works on speeds 1 and 2 but not on the intermittent setting. I am thinking of replacing the relay but wanted to check if anyone had better ideas. Could it be the wiper switch.

I'd check that the relay is getting power when you switch the wipers to intermittent and that you have a good earth at that point also. From there I'd easy enough to test a relay with a 12v supply. If you have a multimeter that's cheaper than throwing parts at it and it will help you to know whether your switch is faulty first.

That sounds like a good idea Blobsta. Do you know where the relay is. Is it behind the instrument cluster.
