Hi,

My single arm windscreen wiper seems to have become lazy recently. When I use wiper it moves very slowly and gets stuck but does eventually manage to complete it's arc and return. After using for a while it usually seems to 'warm up' and work ok.

I've gone through the various posts on the subject, and the lubrication seems to be fine so I'm a bit stuck on what I should do now :-S

Regards,
Guy.

Unfortunately sounds like the motor is on it's way out mate.

I've had this before in my W202. In my case it was the lubrication and a visit to an merc indie sorted that out. I went to the stealer first and they said it was the wiper linkage on the way out and it would cost 800 quids:eek: . The indie only charges 40+vat and it has been going fine since.

HTH.

Coincidentally I’ve just greased mine up today using instructions found on here. It took me about 1.5 hours to do, most of the time spent removing the plastic cover that reveals the moving parts of the motor. I’ve plastered loads of grease on everything even though it’s working fine.

Good preventative maintenance mate. ;) ;)
