I have a E230 W210 with a problem with the wipers, windows, inductors and heated back window don't always work when the car is first started. Then sometimes come within a short distance and sometimes they don't come on for days. Please help I love the car.

What year is the car?
The wipers, indecators and heated back window may be due to a faulty N10 relay, repairable by anyone who can solder.
Windows are likely to be a separate fault and not the N10 relay. What are the window fault symptoms?

Just had a very similar problem solved. Monday morning I started up my 1997 E300 TD & the wipers and indicators weren't working. Turned out that anything controlled by the main stalk was affected. I took it to Colin Ferns (Colin Ferns - Independent Mercedes Benz Specialists - Richmond), who initially suspected a number of problems, including earthing issues leading to a wiper motor burn out. After cleaning all contacts of some minor corrosion (in the SAM?) and resetting this that and the other (?), it's all sorted (2.5 hours labour £248!) By the way, Brian at Colin Ferns is off to work for directly MB. A real shame, as his Benz knowledge knows no bounds!
