Wipers running fast

Hi, I've noticed that when it rains hard, all the wiper settings produce constant fast wipers, even the intermittent settings. Once the rain eases, they still run fast on all settings.

On days when rain is light, all settings appear okay.

Could this be a relay issue?
Does anyone know where the wiper relay is please on a gl320 as its not listed in the fuse chart.

Yes, two settings, even the constant slow settings goes fast!

Tree shadows can set them off too.

Usual suspects are dirty/contaminated screen in the sensor area or faulty stalk.
Try cleaning the windscreen really thoroughly. As to the stalk, sometimes spraying switch cleaner into the end (after removing the push button) cleans the contacts
