Wired or not wired

I have a 2007 clk280. I have got the options list and phone wasn't one of them.
Question will the steering wheel still be wired? Just not connected to anything in the loom.
I plan to have aftermarket audio fitted and would like to know if it is at all possible to have wheel buttons for phone working.
Volume and skip buttons will work because they were fitted in factory.
Any thoughts on this question I've been pondering for a couple of months.

Best place for info about what you can and can't do is our forum sponsors comand.co.uk (AKA comandonline.co.uk AKA Unique Car Sounds)) at Lightwater, Surrey, who have forgotten more about MB ICE than any MB main dealer knows. First off give them your VIN so they can look up the build sheet for your car, then give them your wish list. They can supply and fit (or advise what you need if you're too far away from J3 M3).

Have you got the 'hot shoe' connector in the centre arm rest for the MB Bluetooth unit ? Looks like this.
