Is this possible? Would anyone have any wiring diagrams for the centre console i was thinking if i could find the correct wires from the boot release switch and use them for the alarm?

If this is to do with the boot failing to lock/unlock properly then rewiring the boot switch wont work until the fault in the boot lock is rectified… if the fault in the boot lock is fixed then there wont be any need to rewire the boot switch.. if you see what I mean.

There was another chap recently whose boot wouldn’t lock or unlock from the boot switch or the remote boot open button, it turned out that the fault was that somehow a fuse in the boot was moved into a non working slot, someone had pulled out a fuse and put it back in a different slot so check both fuse boxes, particularly the empty slots, just in case you have the same reason for your fault.

Hi dec my boot release works fine. Why i want this to work with my after market alarm is one better range and secondley if both alarms are armed and i open the boot with the remote my alarm will go off as it triggers the after market alarm because the boot has opened

I cant get my head around what it is you want to do! You have two alarms and two remotes, a factory and an aftermarket alarm?

Dec

Yes i have two alarms and two fobs. Basically i want my aftermarket fob to open my boot aswell

Does the aftermarket fob open the doors/fuel flap?

Dec

Yes aftermarket alarm opens and locks all doors fuel cap never noticed if it does more than likely it does

I know what you mean now, unless the aftermarket alarm has a separate dedicated boot open button on its remote then I’m not sure how you could go about achieving your goal.

It could be done but you would need an alarm installer and the wiring diagram for the aftermarket alarm to do it. The problem is that the boot was designed… I think… to unlock AND pop its lid open but only with the boot button on the Mercedes remote or with the boot open switch on the console.

I have a dedicated button on the fob for boot release and i also know which wire controls that from the alarm the only problem i have i cant find the original wire what controlls the boot release

I have come across this site before there is no purple wire in the centre console? And what confuses me is you cant put a remote start on my car ive been told its impossible. I would love to have remote start on my car i also have a remote start module for the aftermarket alarm

Can you not tap into the wiring at the boot release switch?

I agree you should be able to take it from the boot release switch. How does the aftermarket operate its boot release? Through a switching earth?

No because there is only one connecter which also houses the window wires. If i pull that plug out boot release doesnt work. I Could not find the wire in that loom rest of wires have there own wiring looms such as folding mirrors, rear blind etc

The boot release button on the fob is programmed to open the boot. On the alarm it has a separate wire which controls this i think its negative

There isn't any wires directley going in to the boot release switch which is more confusing. There is only a 6 pin connector which i believe also controls the windows i have used a probe to test all wires in that connector if there is any change in current but nothing changes it has to be that plug if i take it out windows and boot release won't work

How many wires are there on the switch? Can you put up a picture of the rear of the switch and the rear of the boot lock?

You could try trial and error but that may blow a fuse, maybe a fuse in the boot, so you need to be sure that you can open the boot lock with a key blade, is the lock barrel still seized?

Hi dec there is only six wires Going in to the connecter. There is a small connector with a green wire i assume that is for the airbag light. I did do a trial and blow all window fuses after that i left it i will post some pics later on

Boot lock still seized
