Wood Trim Refurbish / Replace

Hi,

The wood trim around the gearshift on my C280 is cracked and I am struggling to source a matching part from our favourite auction site.

Any advice on where to look or if anyone can redo the veneer?

City Polishing will redo it perfectly but you will be without it for over a month at least.

Is it the wood trim that has cracked or just the lacquer?

Have you got any more details for City Polishing, I did a google and not good results

In Dolphins r129 refresh thread he mentioned using silvercrest and the results looked great.

In the past I've taken parts to local luthiers/guitar restoration places who've stripped and added new vaneers very successfully, but it wasn't cheap.

Have you tried euromerc, they might have the right piece in stock.
