This would really suit one of the non-airbag 124's + 126's.

I think something similar was shown in Mercedes Enthusiast on an Indian gentleman's 560SEC - looked awesome.

I'll bet Sp!ke will show interest in this one :D

I am kinda interested in this item but not overly so.... but you'll all have to wait 'till morning to see why :D :D :D

Ok, this is what I was referring to.... I picked this wheel up yesterday, for a direct swap for my existing wheel - no money changing hands (living up to my handle) :bannana:

Before - the original wheel was so big it was like driving a bus. @ 44cm dia.

After - now 37cm dia, much better & FOC :)

Now all I have to do is polish the rest of my woodwork. ;) BTW, anyone else notice how offset the steering wheels are compared to the drivers seat on these W124's? Are other models as bad?

Next is changing all the wood to Walnut and yes....a gearknob would be nice. Problem with most wooden gearknobs I've seen is that they do not have the gear markings on the knob itself. Personally I dont need them, but the wife on the otherhand always needs to look to find reverse
