Hi all

Being rather an inpatiant person I wanted to change the plugs on my 230te as it was idling a little odd.
I couldnt wait till the service next month so i decided to 'ave a go myself'!.
I managed to pull a ht lead compleatly out of its rubber socket thingy oopps!

the strange thing is if i push it back in it makes no difference to the cars performance or starting!

Is this normal as i would have expected it to start to run on 3 cylinders or something.

One other question is for future ref do the ht leads just pull out or do i need to twist em a bit?

Cheers again all

Paul

Paul,

I've seen special long nosed pliers for pulling HT leads off Mercedes. They have special shape jaws that clamp around the cable cap. Maybe you can improvise something.
