Hi all

I have a small (sub 5 employees) landscaping and grounds maintenance company.
As we expand my ability to spend time doing on-the-job training, especially with a view towards horticultural knowledge, is becoming untenable.
Funding/help for small businesses is a total minefield of incoherence for someone who does not really know what they are doing (ie me). I have found a course (City and Guilds) which is quite canny, but I am getting conflicting stories about whether there is help available for people/me/new workers etc etc.

Does anyone have any experience of gaining help towards vocational training (not necessarily in my particular field) ? Love to hear your comments.

Does the modern apprenticeship scheme still exist, it used to cover people upto the age of 21 I think, it was subsidised as well.

Have a word with your local Council who often have a small business section and they may be able to help CLICK
