Just found out that today is World Vegetarian Day... now what does this have to do with motoring you may ask? Good question...

I read this article:
http://style.uk.msn.com/wellbeing/healthyeating/article.aspx?cp-documentid=9790539
and it got me thinking... I'm like to think that I'm quite a tree-hugger myself, and I quite like a medium rare steak...

If his numbers are right, it's quite scary! (E.g. catle farming produced more greenhouse gases than the worlds transport put together)

Now, forgetting all the vegetarian tastes better junk; I'm curious... does anyone know of any real evidence, which followed an accepted scientific process and verified by a semi-respectable body as to the impact of meat/meat-farming on greenhouse gases?

Is it time we start paying a congestion-charge on ribs? Or paying 70% (or whatever the rate of taxes on fuel is) on a steak?

Thought provoking, isn't it?
M.

Too late - s'cuse me!

I'm not sure I'd like to eat a person

Now now... the kids will wake up in the morning and our comments will still be there :p

I'm sure most guys, and some gals, could immagine where to start... eating...
