World War II Airplanes! Are You Ace Enough to Take This Quiz

I took the test and got a miserable 24 correct out of 30 something

Got a feeling many of you will do much better.

27 out of 34 - I know a lot about WW2 aircraft but had to guess most of the 'statistical' ones.

19 out of 34 :(

Was tough! :)

And I didn't cheat (no Googling).

I go 31 out of 48????
I guess it gave you more questions because you were good :thumb:

Or maybe you just made it to Level 2 :)

Me too, 24 and I also thought I knew about WW2

IIRC at least a couple of the 'right' answers weren't actually correct! ;)

I know nothing about airplanes but plenty about aeroplanes having studied aeronatics.

Had you both down for more - you especially MJ.

Try and get to Duxford "Flying Legends" every year if I can...

Oops not quite got the hang of quoting:mad:

Yes duxford is something else, I flew there from Edinburgh several years ago and was gobsmacked by the aircraft on the apron, nearly forgot to call “finals to land” oops.

Sitting in minibus being taken from airside to spectator, guy sitting next to me, could not place his face, I flew for several parchute clubs so thought that is where I knew him from. Excuse me have we met I asked - no don’t think so answers the gentleman, turns out I found out later from two friends who were wetting themselves laughing that it was wing commander X the guy who designed and flew little Nellie in the James Bond film, oops :wallbash: a gentleman

Added name of Wing Commander Ken Wallis
