E class s212 220cdi manual
Hi all!

Just about to change airbags on e class s212 as in cold weather it dropped overnight a lot.
Found bilstein bags on autodoc for £260 each. They have different discounts each day. Monday and Wednesday is usually the best.

Anyway, is it worth changing the control valve and the compressor at the same time?

Thank you!

Have all the airbags failed together? Unlikely I think. I would just change the bags if they are at fault. If the compressor is healthy and air is being pumped to all 4 corners as it should then no need to replace the other parts

Thank you!
I only have rear bags. They didn't completely fail, just dropped about two inches last night. It was about 4 degrees outside. While we had good weather it was fine.

I was just wondering if the compressor and valve usually fails at similar time or not.

You can have a Star test done to see if the air compressor is performing correctly. No need to change a £300+ part unnecessarily IMO.
If you do change the compressor its advised to change the relay at the same time.

Ok. Thank you
