Hello All

As my title suggests would you buy a s/hand w222 S350d if you were a low mileage user?
By low mileage I mean around 7k miles/year.
Or would you recommend a S450/500?
I am interested in the facelift 2017/18 cars.
Thanks in advance.

I've told this story before I'm sure but here goes anyway. My neighbour's a builder in NW London and runs diesel Transits. All short hop local trips. Except once a week when he has to drive his van all the way to Watford and back purely to burn off all the crap in the DPF.

He's so sick of bills for DPFs that this is his solution.

No. But then I'd never buy a diesel car of any kind.

I also drive to Watford in my Berlingo every Sat afternoon.

First it’s to give it a good blast and secondly it’s where Costco is!!

As a counter-argument to that, I have often been tempted to buy the S350d because it's the only SWB S class you're likely to find in the UK. All the S500's being S500L and usually black. It's infuriating

The SWB car is the much more obvious solution to the "non Carriage Trade" driver who wants luxury and needs to park on London streets occasionally

But i haven't..... yet.... As I'm more likely to go EV, once Rachel and the first user has depreciated them ready for me.
