A later car with premium pack may be ok, let me know what you have.

Not required any more.
Got myself an 2019 E400D 4 matic with premium plus pack

Now need to learn how to use all those bells & whistles

Cheers - took whole day getting there and back. Got back last night. I'll give it a clean and brush up and get some photos on here.
I was hoping for at least a space saver, but it comes with run flats, OE fitment GY F1 Assym 3. 275 in the back and 245 in the front. A little excessive in my eyes. There isn't even a can of goo and a compressor.

I wonder if there is a 17/18 space saver available?
Also contemplating if it's worth looking for a set of winter wheels. Always had them available on my previous cars.
Though the winters don't seem so harsh these last few years.

Good choice. Congratulations.

I have the same with my CLS400d. I went for one of these.

Came very quickly. No need to pay for the quick delivery. The storage bag has velcro strips which hold it on the boot floor and the toolkit fits in the space beneath.

Great - I'm old fashioned, much prefer a full size spare, but a space saver is a good compromise.
Looking at the front brake calipers, I don't think a 18" space saver would fit.
I wonder if I can procure a foam insert so it's secure and stops it rattling around.

Does it fit into the rectangular space in the boot in yours?

I'll need to get the tape measure out.
Also I probably need to account for the diameter too, as my car has 4matic, it might upset that if it's too far out.

Doesn't fit under the floor at all, no, but the toolkit does. (Mine is 4matic too)

The size of the wheel itself doesn't make any difference. A 17" or 18" would have a higher profile tyre so that the overall diameter of the wheel plus tyre is the same as your other wheels, as it needs to be.

The site above (and others) supply spare wheels based on your car reg, so they should fit over the calipers, as long as the car is original spec.

Is yours running on 19s or 20s?

Create a Mercedes me account (if you do not already have one), register your new car's VIN to the Mercedes me account, and then download the mobile phone app and check to see what remote services are available for your car - but be ready to be charged a subscription fee if you opt for any of the available services.

I've been looking at the clearance of the front brake caliper, may be able to squeeze 18" wheels on, but I'm sure 17" will foul the 4 pot calipers.
I looked at the space savers available and the tyre sizes. 135/70 R19 will be the ideal size, as it'll give a rolling distance to OE wheels & tyres.
The same for 145/65, 125/75, however these sizes don't seem to exist.
I'm wary of the potential of damaging the 4matic, as many 4wd systems are sensitive to rolling radius and may damage differentials etc.

Mine is on 19" wheel, 275/35 R19 R, 245/40 R19 F.

Created the MM account, but it's still registered with the previous owner.
I'll ask him to de-reg it.
