Basically, have just bought a W124 with the above spec, but the alloys are a bit tired, so looking to rent a set of 4 suitable wheels are tyres so I can refurb my own alloys.

Don't have the space to buy a spare set and store them, and don't see the point in buying 4 tyres when the ones I have are good.

Would only be for a few weeks, mileage would be less than 500.

Alternatively, a set of sound alloys that I can refurb and swap the wheels over.

Like the ride so not interested in going to a different tyre size or profile.

Am located M5 J30 in Devon.

No rush, it's under the heading of "to do", not "urgent".

    cheers

I have a set you can have for nothing - with no tyres on them, but shouldn't cost much to have "Kwik Fit" transfer your tyres while you are doing the refurb.

Only problem - they're in Lauder, Scotland! If you're happy to arrange a courier I'll do the rest.

I'm breaking a complete s124 1987 model so let me know if you need anything else.

THAT is actually worth considering, if I read the advert right, £238.41 + VAT (so £41.72 @ 17.5%, or £47.68 @ 20% if it goes up) including shipping... except I'd have to return my old wheels, say 50 quid courier, and pay for the tyre swap and balancing.

My local powder coater would be about £75 a wheel, however he will do a first class job, clean, coat and lacquer for that....

M&M will fit a balance for a tenner a wheel (off / on / balance / new valve) so this pxwheels crowd aren't over the top.

Blackpool is a long way away though, if it was Bristol I'd go for it.

    Thanks anyway.

No, the price (£238.41) includes vat and courier cost to pick up your old wheels. Once you receive the new wheels and have changed them over ring the courier they use to book a collection.

Hi! I have 2 sets of elegance 10 hole 15" wheels, one with 205/55 and one with 195/55, reasonable condition, can have the tyres whipped off if necessary. Not looking for very much for them (£150 a set?). I'm at m5 jct 26 if you're interested

    Regards

    Jon

Are you refurbing them yourself ? Or is there someone near you does does them.
Just curious as to why you would have to rent wheels/tyres !

I got mine done about a year ago, dropped car off at 8am, picked it up around 5.30pm, all 4 wheels done (+ 2 new back tyres) £200 for wheel refurb / £50 per wheel, and it is a full wheel refurb - tyres off, powder coated etc.
Although this was in Edinburgh, is there not a tyre company down your way that does wheel refurb ?

Just be a bit less hastle than renting wheels, sending them away etc.
