Thats very cheap, so cheap i think its a mistake, i got a price on one about two years ago and it was around £500, i,ll be going to MB next week i,ll check that price if correct i,ll be ordering one.

I've checked it twice in 2 weeks, it's on Inchape Mercedes parts online. The part number isn't the accessory backbox its the one on the C43.

Most AMG silencers are from £6/700ish and many over £1k+

Might be a part number typo or something?

Even regular 202 rear silencers are probably about that price - the larger bore stainless AMG box with the chrome tips etc would surely cost a lot more like the rest of the AMG exhausts I'd have thought.

No HWA part number - or is that only on the older stuff (?)

W202 C36 silencers were definately a lot, lot more expensive than this

Be interesting to see how this pans out, as NW Merc says that part number is listed and comes up at £202.33 on Mercedes-Benz Parts, Inchcape (but strangely doesn't show any discount. By comparison, the 208 CLK55 rear silencer is a LOT more expensive!

I can't see any logical reason why they'd sell a C43 rear silencer for six times less than a CLK one, or for less than many of the regular 'mild steel' rear silencers, makes no sense.

This is the accesory back box - dont buy it!

it's completely different and the original/AMG as in the way the actual muffler is shaped (it stickes out alot - like an aftermarket jobbie)

The tips are nice tho!

Its not a performance backbox like AMG or others and not made of stainless steel

That seems way too cheap? normally around the £500+ mark. Are you sure they didnt just quote you for the tips ?

Did the C43 have a 'special' back box? The SL60 didn't ... just a standard one with the two downward-pointing steel tailpipes (possibly same part as the SL500). You could get an "accessory" AMG box though (with the chrome AMG tips - as per my car), which did cost a fortune.
