xclass
Hi all im new here but i hope you can help. I have an xclass and i heard a tapping noise and after checking i saw a multi plug hanging from the back with a mp
motherchip still attached. I can't figure out where it has come from, I have searched everywhere underneath and there is no where for it to plug back into and I believe i have lost something on route before I noticed. Now my indicators flash really fast and if I remove the chip I have no rear I dictators at all. Has anybody seen this problem before?

Thanks again

Welcome.

A photo will help.

Do you have a towbar?

Did you buy it new?

That looks a little Heath Robinson (i.e. bodged) to the untrained eye....

This is the chip. Can you relate it to anything ? After research, i believe it has come from the rear SAM module, which controls the rear lights. Finding it is the issue and online there isn't much info. X-CLASS W470 SAM CONTROL MODULE 284B15XA0C / A11073-D70.

It might be worth asking on a Nissan Navara forum, in case this part is common to them.

As has been hinted at earlier, I suspect that this is a module that was fitted as part of some towbar wiring, and the cover has fallen off. The connector and the cable that is attached to it do not look to be standard. Where does the cable go?
