Hi guys
I like to change the headlight and other lights in my c class classic w203 estate 57 plate with xenon bulbs ,can I just buy the xenon bulbs and swap them with the ones in my car or do I need to buy a upgrade kit ?
appreciate the help thank you

You need to buy the complete light units , axle sensors , headlamp cleaners to do it properly.

thank you Haward do you know where I could get them from? thank you for your help

sorry N70GP I could not go on to that site some sort of Internet security problem but thanks for your help.

thank you N70GP that is really hopefully but it is asking what temperature ?would you know?

if i was buying i would buy 4300K, the lower the number the whiter the light, the higher the number the blacker the light. click om lighting/hid kits and have a look the different K colours on the top right.

hi
thank you again I will go for that.

I am assuming you are referring to Xenon HIDs, i.e. those that would have been fitted originally by MB? If so then Howard is correct, HID's must be auto-levelling (hence the axle sensor) and have the headlamp washer option installed.

If however all you want is to replace the standard bulbs to the 'Xenon' type (not the same as the factory-fitted Xenon HIDs), then all you need do is replace the bulbs. This is usually done to get the slightly blueish tint that makes the standard headlamps look a bit like the factory-fitted HIDs.

But is installing true HIDs, take great care - their operating voltage is very high and potentially dangerous.

hi
Thank you markjay I'll take that on board.
