Xenon Range Adjuster

Just perusing EPC (as one does ) and saw this listed as part of the xenon headlamp for a 203..

A1298002475 - Element, light range adjuster (left) £43.89

Would this be the auto lamp leveling motor?

If so it would suggest xenons can be repaired if/when the level motors fail. Something I think was assumed couldn't be done without canabalising a donor unit?

This part comes with the option code "-612", at least for the W203 that I looked at. Meaning it isn't for a car with Xenon lights.

Isn't this adjuster actually pneumatic?

Xenons have electronic auto adjustment, halogens have the vacuum manual adjusters.

Code -612 is "Not valid for headlamp - xenon, R.H. Traffic" Meaning it is for UK or left-hand traffic.
