Yet another W211 2007 boot water leak

Has anyone had this in their W211 mine is a 2007. There is a pool of water along the edge in the gap each time it rains. What is the likely culprit? Many thanks everyone

Finally found where the water was leaking into the boot spare wheel well area. I changed both tail light gaskets and the rubber trims seals on either side. Still no luck. Then traced where the water goes down towards and noticed from the side trim pieces it goes along side the boot rubber seals...

Hi thanks yes it's not leaking into the spare wheel well, it's pooling in the gap shown between the plastic trim and the edge. I was wondering if anyone else has had this. Was it the brake light leaking?

On my 03 E55 water was getting in through the third brake light, fixed with some very pricey all weather clear silicon, only just done the fix so all dry at the mo and fingers crossed.

New boot drain trim fitted on E class W211 | Bodywork

Bit the bullet the other day and rang MB Grangemouth (Parts dept) for some new rear boot drain/trim parts . Fearing that worst , I left Euan with the job of deciphering my email pictures as to which bits I needed . He came back to me with the grand price delivered of £24 ish . The parts...

It’s normally leaks From the high level brake Light , either/both of the other main rear lights or the side drain strips

Many thanks. I never had this on my w212 or c class, it's a bit annoying but I hope they sort it
