Right, 19th it is then in Sheffield!

Looking for some venues.

Anyone got any ideas/suggestions?

Shall we aim to start about 10am or 1pm or 4pm or later?

Ideas on a postcard please!

My vote would be for a nice country pub at about 11am. That means we can all meet up, have a chat and drink, then each person can decide if they want to play on or want to wander off. I don't know the area but I'm sure someone will know a suitable venue (and if it is Meadowhall itself, I am suddenly very busy on that day.... :D
 
I would try and make it but the missus (and unfortunately the Merc) will be in france so I'm stuck with a pug :(

What about around the Glossop area. I think thats Sheffield(ish) way and I think countryfied - Does anyone know of a good country pub there - maybe?

How about DORE Village?

Its really beautiful out there.

Plenty for everyone there.

Very posh area as well.

Lots of little quaint shops I believe.

May I be so bold as to suggest that if you (or someone) knows the area that a venue is simply picked by you (or someone) and that's where we meet?

I know from experience (and others will back me up I'm sure!) is that if we bat ideas around and wait for all to say OK it takes an age to sort, if at all. The main criteria of course is parking :)

Hope that does not offend!

I drove through Sheffield on Wednesday (or was it yesterday?) and kept an eye out for somewhere suitable, and alas no venue came into view however, one pub had a sign outside saying 'Funerals catered for'.

Not one for us methinks. we're not dying to get in there!:)
 
Should have a place sorted after the weekend.
Need to speak to a landlord to sort out some reserved parking.
We all ok to eat lunch in the pub?
Any special eating habits?
