It's about time I owned up as I have been looking for a second car for some time now for doing things my CLK Convertible is not very good at like the convenience of a hatchback, parking it anywhere without worries of any expensive damage on my return, +50mpg and front wheel drive for any snow we may have this winter.
Now my confession....... it's a 2002 Toyota Yaris 1.0 vvti no less with 98,000 miles on the clock, new tyres and a new clutch fitted.
The only rust on it is at the bottom of the drivers door so will change the door at some point.
I appreciate the Merc more now when I do use it, as you can imagine.

i did the same and bought a fiat panda!
to be honest it's absolutely fantastic at what it does and what it's meant for!

You can buy a good merc for under £600 - my last CLK cost me £500 - i ran it for 8 months, put 10k on it, all i spent on it was 10 quid for a wiper blade and 3 quid for one bulb. Then sold it for a grand

I'm lucky, Mrs Baxlin has a Skoda Fabia estate...........:thumb:
