I can help there as an ex got me one for Christmas. IIRC it cost £220!!

   They saw you coming!

Mine was about a tenner from Argos. I already the CD walkman :D

And yup Potzy, Bobby Dazler about summed it up.
It was crap. Even more so considering it was going through 13 year old speakers attached to a 13 year old radio with a dodgy volume button. It was a Blaupunkt Cambridge, though

They saw my ex coming more like. ;)

It was still ridiculous then though, not helped because she bought it from a department store.

This was in the mid-/late- 90's though, all SONY branded and included the CD-player & charger!!

I know what you're thinking, surely BD was not old enough to drive in the 90s, but I was. ;) :D

Hi

First car was 1971 MkI Escort. First mod was 13" Cortina "GL" wheels.

Nearly 20 years ago now:mad:

mk2 cortina with headrests that just sat on top of the seat the best was my mate who got spray on window tint & did the outside even the screen :D

1st car ... painted the headlights yellow to match the fog lights and that was for the two and a half years i had it

BLACKSIDE.jpg

2nd car ... nothing for the year and a half i had it

REDBMW320.jpg

3rd car ... painted lots of bits yellow, added 15" 3 spoke alloys and big fat stero system

WHITEAUDICOUPESIDE.jpg

weirdly the 2nd and 3rd cars were bought from london & norwich but were actually registerd on the same day in the same year in the same town on the same road (i was told that bmw & audi were on the same road back in 1988 in northampton)

bmw - E624 MNH
audi - E624 LNH

how very strange as i bought them in nov 1994 & july 1996

I know a machinery removals firm that paints parts of there cars yellow like that as it's their house colour.
They used to paint the whole car...
We're talking Rangies, E class, etc....
