Just bought my first smartphone (iphone 4s) (welcome to the 21st century I hear you saying!) and thought it'd be interesting if others would give their views of recommended or favourite iphone apps.

The MBClub one will of course be first but what next? I realise we all use our phones differently but I thought it would be interesting to hear your views.

Nav Free

1) It's free

2) It takes full postcodes.

3) It has the safety camera database.

I also like BBC News - Sky News - and London Standard

If you have Sky the App is great if you are out and forget to record something - has to be at least a half hour before though

ebay and paypal are both very slick apps - don't bother with PC for ebay browsing now - all done on phone

Navfree is good and SkySports football is excellent

I have 'USB disk' app that replicates a thumb drive

Don't forget to install either Apple's own or an after market 'Device Locator' - mine called 'Device Locator' actually takes a photo of the person holding your stolen/lost phone and emails it to you - no good if it's a stranger but ideal if it's some scrote in the pub

Angry Birds, Cover Orange, cut the rope are all good fun and Zynga Poker is essential if you like texas hold em

Have you got kids? Whatever you do, don't get:

Talking Tom
Elmo's Monster Maker
Peppa Pig's Happy Mrs Chicken

In fact, if you've got kids, don't even let them know you've got an iPhone.

This is for people who have jailbroken devices, install 'xcon' from cydia to stop the apps from recognising the jailbreak thus making them unusable.
eg. skygo won't work on JB devices.

Also go to setting, general, accessibility, turn on 'speak selection' now whatever you have highlighted it will give the option to speak it out...nice!

I'd never heard of Logo Quiz. Downloaded it this afternoon and I've just deleted it - it's infuriating. Not because of all the American companies I've never heard of, rather because of errors like this. (MOCAS, it's probably best if you look away now...)
