All said in jest:D :D

Isn't it odd/sad that most of the memorable moments are sad events (that includes the launch of Big Brother  ) as opposed to joyous? Guess that shows the human Pysche. Don't exclude myself BTW

Berlin Wall
Remission of leukemia in a yong lad I know
The day I married
The birth of my children
The marriages of my children
My grandkids!
My first Mercedes

Following office discussion in no particular order, happy memories of public events discounting meeting Mrs B, our wedding etc.:

- Being in a very quiet Porto on the night they won the quarter finals of Champions League which then turned into a very noisy Porto!
- Being in Rome when France beat Italy in Euro 2000
- Being in a South London Pub (and later appearing in Time Out!) with a German mate when Man U beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final
- Being in an East London pub with a load of mates when England beat Germany 5-1
- Watching Terrier racing at Orford Summer Fete
- Rye Nov. 5th festival

Unhappy memories:

- 9-11
- London bombing
- Diana death
- Menezes shooting

Its funny how few things I can actually remember exactly what I was doing and where when events took place.. Happily most are being surrounded by friends and Mrs B.

Scotland beating England just after they won the World Cup.
Any Scottish win against the English Rugby side.
Death JFK.
Death of JL.
Not knowing where I was when Lady something or other crashed in Paris.
Listening to my first Dory Previn album.
Being in the Coach and Horses when a Welsh Windbag walked in with armed gorillas and taking delight in everyone ignoring him.
First time I ate MPW's food.
First time I ate Calude Bossi's food.
Getting my first degree result.
My first poem published.

Better stop there, just re-read it and see it's meant to be public events:mad: :D :)
