Hi All, I recently took my 2011 Mercedes E class coupe 220 CDI for an MOT and it failed due to a headlamp issue dipped beam (please see picture) does anyone know what the issue may be and how much will it cost to fix?

It probably has xenon headlights. Can you confirm?

If it does I would be looking at a faulty ballast possibly. They usually fail because of water ingress due to a leaky headlight. Headlights can be pricey if it needs them. Some are £1k each.

Hi,

You may start by inspecting the headlamp bulb to see if it's burnt out or damaged. If the bulb needs replacement, you can purchase a new one from an auto parts store. If you can check community members who deal in spare parts.

Thanks
