Misfire

Hi all I'm new to this and need a little help

I have a 2009 sprinter 311 xlwb race van conversion

Recently started to miss fire occasionally but seemed to b getting more often than not now when engine is around 2500 rpm but when driven at high revs or on a motorway it runs fine no loss off power or loss of performance runs and pulls as it should just this occasional misfire and there is no lights on dash or error codes being brought up .
Before I go and fork out alot of money on some new injectors could there b a alternative solution to cure this problem
Thanks in advance iv already changed the fuel filter to see if that helped but still having the problem

Hi, it will probably save you money if you find a decent indie with star and get a diagnostic done. Could be lots of things causing the issue, a diag on star should point you in the right direction.

IV had it on a Diag and there's not a single fault being flagged up IV changed fuel filter and seals also the coper washers in the injectors also IV replaced the fuel return hose to a new one but stil having the slight misfire /slip in power at around 2500 rpm anything above that it pulls and runs fine

If Star is not reporting any faults then you may be better trying a diesel specialist. They have the knowledge and kit to sort these sort of problems which as you have found is tricky. A general garage will just tend to swap parts at your expense hoping to get lucky. You need someone who knows what they are doing. Unfortunately I’m in Southampton so can’t point you to anyone I could recommend in Leicestershire.
