Hi everyone,
I am quite new to the tyres and wheels things, but been researching a lot.. still can't find the right conclusion; please help me out
I just came across a really good deal on like-new AMG wheels from w177 , the AMG wheel size is 18 x 7.5j ET49 for all four, no tyres [AMG wheel spec]
I'm planning to replace it with my standard wheels on W205 (FL) the standard size Front: 18 x 7.5j ET44/ Rear: 18 x 8.5j ET56 [standard wheel spec]
the standard tyres on my w205 is Front: 225/45/R18 and Rear: 245/40/R18
if I were to replace the new wheels on my w205, which tyre size I should buy?
Option 1: keep original sizes from w205 (this one might have a little trouble with rear wheel since the rim size is 1inch smaller, but it should fit fine) 245 is not really recommended to be fitted on 7.5j rim?
Option 2: use the standard tyre size same with w177 (225/45/R18) for all four, then I might lose the staggered advantage on the wider rear wheel? is it really serious for C220d (196hp)?
Option 3: replace the 245/40 with 235/40 or 235/45 (max. width for 7.5j) for rear wheel in order to keep a little staggered benefit, but the speed might inaccurate (around 1%)?
Please to get the Pilot Sport 4 tyres, anyone please share some idea to help me out
