Nope. No such thing as cat X. If it turns up undamaged it won't be recorded at all. My SL60 was HPI clear when I sold it.
Here's my instrument cluster btw...
Stolen/recovered never was a category. It was either stolen or it wasn't.
For an SL60 to be written off in 2000 means it was fairly badly damaged. Parts were available for it back then and if it needed an HWA part from Germany that's what would have happened. They don't write them off that...
No, but cars like this, once repaired, often end up being advertised as "stolen/recovered hence Cat D".
Stolen is stolen & Cat D is a car that has been damaged.
The Sultan's cars were badged as SL730, not SL73.
I believe there are two in existence but I've only ever seen one.
The Ironside one (V155 KGK) was offered at £39K then a couple of years later at the same dealer for £70K.
If it genuinely has 4,000 miles then it could be the other Sultan car but...
The only way it can be rust free is if it's an import or someone bought a lot of rattle cans from Halfords. Either way, the salt on the roads over the next few months will mean towing it to the scappy in March. I say towing because the gearbox will have given up the inclination by then.

Depends what the reg number is though and if it's transferable...
Ahhh, ok. You can have my cover for a tenner then, delivered. As long as I can figure out how to remove it. Are you sure the mechanism on yours isn't damaged?
There's a cover on e-bay at the mo (not mine) for £14.
Not sure if the covers are the same for coupe and saloon.

I have some very, very early AMG side skirts for a 124 saloon/estate.
They're the round hole ones designed for cars without side mouldings.
Brand new, unused and with the rear 'spats' (but not jack covers)
Tide mark is where they got wet in the garage hence original box destroyed.
