2007 112 vito traveliner auto box not changing gears?

Hi,

I am a recent addition to the forum and a recent owner of the above car. I have not had the best of starts to my ownership of this vehicle. I purchased it in September and have already spent £1500 having the valve seals done (if anyone in the south-west wants a recommendation for this service please let me know, great local garage sorted me out) I have also had to replace both front abs sensors, one fitted another to fit next week. Today one a mercy mission to the supermarket the auto gearbox was reluctant to change and then refused to change up or down? it goes into drive, park and neutral ok but the manual shift has also stopped working?

Could anybody please give me any advise on what I could do to help myself? any help would be appreciated.

Dip the tranny to see where the levels are first..

Change the fluid & Filter and make sure the correct levels are obtained..then retry..

If it doesn't improve then its a trip to an autobox specialist..which can be expensive.. does it rev past 3k?? Just wondering is it in Limp Home Mode...

Thanks so much for the reply and advice. No it is not in limp mode. I can rev past 3k. Everything appears normal accept the changing, or lack off! It is going into the garage tomorrow to have the other sensor fitted I will see if they can bring anything up on the diagnostic as well. It's been a really frustrating few months of ownership!!
