Apologies if this reads somewhere else, but there are 19 pages with the keyword in there...

Can someone explain to me, exactly what I get from Assyst, and how it works? My W203 has full MBSH at regular intervals. No one I know owns an MB so getting a concise answer isn't easy

:)

...getting a concise answer isn't easy

I think that's because no-one really knows how it works!

It's a variable (time / distance) servicing interval calculation system, allegedly based on the type of use the car gets. There are all sorts of suggestions about how it's supposed to work (mainly based on oil quality analysis) but no-one seems certain.

Assyst on my car (09 W212) is quite stratightforward (I hope)

It alternates between 2 services bases on a mileage of 15500 or 1 year between services (whichever comes first). Service A (small service approx £230. basically an oil change) and service B (big stealership service approx £500 including brake fluid change + any other recommended work)

It comes up based on time elapsed or miles covered. I do less than 8000miles/ year so Assyst will prompt a service after 11 months. If someone else drives the same car as mine and covers 15,500miles in 3 months, Asssyt will prompt for a service after the 3 months.

Yep, I've had my c-class about 8 months and it has done about 14,000 miles since last service and the readout varies (often on a daily basis) to say either B service in 1500 miles or B service in 20 days
