I have a w209 with a CDI, for aesthetics, I'd like to fit the quad AMG silencers and the aftermarket carbon wrap around.

Has anyone done it already?

You will probably find the spare wheel well gets in the way of routing the off-side pipes. IIRC the AMG models have a modified boot floor.
That said I'm sure you could find a fabricator that could custom fit a system for you

Thanks, I've noticed the wheel well is plastic, maybe it can be swapped for an AMG one, if it is an issue.

It can a member here Tudu, did this on his on his C class, was a lot of work though.

If it's purely for looks you could just have dummy tips on one side.

You have a valid point there!
But, it's not a Vauxhall Nova and my car dosent go anywhere near halfords
Rofl!

The £60k Lexus IS F has quad pipes from the factory, with two being dummies.

Never! I would feel cheated by finding that out.
I will be doing it properly, there maybe benefits to the engine too at a later stage.

I would not do this - get the full quad setup.

Carlsson are not cheap but they can do a customised quad exhaust setup with chrome tips that look identical or if not better than the AMG exhust tips.

We are going to use Carlsson on a W204 C350 CDI Sports Edition - car has factory AMG body kit as standard but we are getting the full Carlsson body kit (to make it different from the rest), quad xenons fog lamps integradted 8K bulbs in front bumper, alloys and as the car has a single exhuast pipe on each side they are going to weld Carlsson crome tips on to the exhaust.

Nice, I wondered if the e-class bumper and twin side exhausts could be made to fit mine a few years back

Give Eldin at EMP Performance a call. he made a quad stainless exhaust for my W203 and has also done systems for other members. Look them up on Google. They are in Boreham Wood. He did mine while I waited (about 3 hours). Tell him you got his name from me and that he did my C240 estate.

like that?

I didn't realise it was such a tricky job to fit quads to a non-AMG W209 to be fair, friend of mine did it to his CLK350 a few years back... I always thought it was fairly straight forward!

Well Eldin at EMP made it look easy. I guess if you have the tools then it is straight forward. I know that on my C55 the spare wheel well is smaller to accommodate the twin rear boxes. On my C240 (same floor pan) The spare wheel well is the issue hence fitting a silencer to one side only.

Did you use EMP?

No I went to a bit of an extreme and had a guy in Germany fabricate it for me to the same specs as a VATH system for considerably less than what they would charge and fitted it with the help of a friend.

I'm sure a local specialist could have done the same but I wanted it to look a specific way with and I'm happy with it so that is all that matters - didn't have a floor pan to contend with, quite a bit of room under my E-cab to have straighter pipework, smaller boxes etc
