Hi all, just joined the club... Had a few MB's (C220 '04, current CLA 200) and have just acquired a 47,000 miles S600 W221 for weekend drives.... LHD version to take it to sunnier places :)..
Would like to do a full inspection, the interior and exterior are excellent and the car runs perfectly, a delight to drive. BUT I am aware that it needs proper care before bills start stacking up ... Any suggestions? I live in West London.. But don't mind driving it farther to get proper specialists in these cars...

Welcome to the forum and congrats on getting a beautiful car!
is it the silver S600 with the black leather and AMG pack?
I remember seeing for sale a silver S600 lhd
The S600 is a fantastic car, pure luxury but with great performance too. I loved my old S600. It was such a nice car. When I thought it was time to move on and sold it, I regretted making that decision straight away and went and bought a couple of S classes :D

Glorious cars.

Needs a photo, though.

Which part of West London? It'll affect whether we send you down the A3 to PCS, the obvious choice, or out West or even North.

Superb -

Then Wayne Gates in Harrow, PCS in Horndean, but the shortest hop will be down the A316 to Nigel at Alexanders of Twickenham (ex-MB Weybridge)

Thanks !!! Much appreciated..
Also I would like to get the NTG sorted out to the European version (it's japonese), who would you recommend? (Maybe do a Android auto OEM upgrade also ?? Any experience with those ?)

Personally while I love cars of this era, I avoid their Satnavs, Bluetooth and media, using the car’s inbuilt tech only for their amplifiers and speakers. Other views will follow

I agree. I fitted an aftermarket Carplay/Android Auto device to my 2006 S600. It uses the original display screen, so it doesn't alter the look of the dash at all. I linked to the item I fitted in this post: New member - 2006 W221 S600 | New member introductions
The only slightly annoying thing with it is that I have to exit from the Carplay screen to get to the regular car control screens, and any sound output from Carplay stops when I do that. But since I stay on the Carplay screen most of the time, this is only a minor complaint. I don't know if all such devices have the same issue.

I also added an aftermarket amplifier between the existing amplifier and the speakers to give me greater control over the sound quality. Description here in case anyone's interested: W219 Harman & Kardon sounds awful | Electronics and Audio
