Park assist

Tried my park assist on my 2013 cls, it tried to parallel park me into a space, great, downside I actually wanted it to reverse the car into a bay at the supermarket lol, does my car only have parallel park on park assist?.

I believe Park assist only works for parallel parking, not reversing into parking bays.

Not sure if it model / year dependant but modern park assist is also designed for bay parking.

I understand its been removed from new cars?

My previous 3 Mercs have had Parking Assist but I've never tried it out yet

Active Park Assist has the reversing feature. Only FL 218s got this IIRC

Possibly....mine can do parallel parking as well as bays.

I don't use it for parallel parking due the the high chance of kerbing the alloys and I did once try it in a bay but bottled out half way through the operation
