Poor Service, No repair. No trust or confidence in the brand anymore - Where do I go?

- this is modern day dealers for you. Servicing is all they are good for on warranty issues. They are your best friend when spending silly money.
- Try another angle - to restore confidence, a few free services etc.
- I use dealers for one thing only, parts that cant be had else where.
- MB business model is not customers of old cars, they like you for three years and thats it. If customers like you dint go back, they don't care, the next mug is waiting.
- send any letter to the dealer principle and to MB UK. MB UK always side with the dealer but the dealer gets a slap.
 
As a matter of interest did the Mercedes dealer charge you storage for the car over the 5 months it was at their premises ? From my own experience I don't think Mercedes will have any real interest in your problems.
What get up my goat that the Mercedes dealer misdiagnosed the problem ( or the computer ) did but still charge for the incorrect diagnosis.

As others have suggested most motor distribution companies employ technicians and not time served mechanic's who can in most cases sort out the problem correctly.

I noticed that you have been a member since 2018 and you take an older car ( no disrespect ) to a main dealer. I followed advice from other members who balanced the cost of quality of work against cost.In my case I took my car to Mercedes for servicing and a local specialist for any other works required.
 
My thoughts are that Mercedes as with many other manufacturers only employ technicians in their service centres and no mechanics. If the star machine don't know what bit to replace, the technician doesn't either. Try to find a local independent who, believe it or not, may know more about how to repair your car that the main dealers
Independents, like any other outfit, are a mixed bunch, as I have learned (to my cost) with my 2011 E350.
 
They don’t call them main stealers for nothing. 😬
