Problem with Mercedes Wing Mirror - help

Hi everyone,

My wing mirror on my W220 does not work properly. I need to push it to help the electric motor open the wing mirror. Moreover the motor will not fold the wing mirror at all, so I need to fold it with my hands while the electric motor is spinning. When I drive above 60 mph, the wing mirror cannot resist the wind and folds.

Is this repairable or should I replace the part entirely?

And does the prefacelift and after facelift w220 have the same wing mirror part number?

I think there is a mirror repair kit available from MB. There certainly is for the w203.
