W202 c240 fuel filter, rough running

Hi I have a W202 1997 C240, Sometimes when trying to over take the power dies and it coughs, was thinking of a new fuel filter to start.....Just dont know where it is?? Or is this a common fault with something else it has 75k miles part mb history and part local garage from previous owner.

Not sure the servicing was the best as I had to change pollen filter last week and it looked as if it had never been changed!!!

This sounds like an air mass sensor fault. Before bunging parts on get it diagnosed first. It will save you ££.

Oh and ONLY but a Bosch air mass if this is the fault. DON'T buy the ebay cheapo type.

Take the engine covers off and it is at the back where the air inlet is.
