W202 respray

Thought I would do up my ole 202 as she appears to be mostly a good 'un.

Dropped it off in the bodyshop today, and he cracked on with popping off the trims and lights etc.

dunno why some numpty used a woodscrew to hold the mirror casing on, when the thing was fine and just needed to be clipped on properly???

and some initial trim removal and light scrubbing / rust remover

all in all not bad - considering the 183,000 miles on it. No rust under the sills. the worst bit is that the sills are a bit crushed due to poor jack placement.

Hopefully I'll have the mintest old mans boring diesel estate around - lol. Found it hilarious the other day, as I had 5 dining tables (sheesham indian hardwood) on board, inc one on the roof, and was happily keeping up with a boy'd up pug 205/6 along a wiggly country road driven at speeds the local constabulary would have raised an eyebrow at.... OK - I didnt overtake and he was 3 up..... LOL

Looks like the work is progressing nicely.

Thinking maybe I have overlooked the 202 wagon, might have to look into them in my car hunting!
