Hi Everyone,
I'm new here. Got my first Mercedes a few weeks ago. 2012 C180 - 1.6 Turbo - AMG Sport Plus. Really nice car. Enjoying it immensely. Very smooth. Surprising nippy for being such a small engine. I do very low miles, mostly city so happy with the petrol. Car is 4.5 yr old with 28K miles.
I'm noticing a substantial vibration noise when I put it in reverse in the mornings. It's like its labouring. I can feel it though the steering wheel can shifter. Revs look OK on the dials. Vibration/noise disappears once I move off with a little speed. Seems to happen more so if the outside temp is cold.
Also happens in Drive sometimes as well.
It is intermittent, but very noticeable.
Seems to go away almost completely once car has warmed up a bit.
Tried to explain to the dealer but cant show him as its gone by the time I get there.
Is this normal? or should I be worried. Car has 6 month Engine/gearbox warranty.
Best regards
