Someone (not me) caught the passenger mirror at the weekend and the indicator lens has a hole in it about the size of a 20p.

As it's in for a service today, I asked for a rough idea of cost to fix....

£100 - £20 for lens, £50 labour, + VAT.

As you can imagine, I queried this with the "gentleman" on the phone - the mirror requires stripping down to replace the lens.

Now - is this something I can do myself, or will wifey (opps, sorry dear) have to dip into her purse to return my pride and joy to pristine condition. Does anyone know how easy it is to replace this?

Ta :)

hi
in a word yes.
Same thing happened to me not to long ago. I bought the whole exterior shell and lens as new of ebay (still in its box) and removed and replaced the shell myself. Little tricky to do but easily done.
