I fell in love with it the moment I saw it, when you see the pictures that I have taken you will see why!!
I drive this car only at weekends and only if the weather is good, I often spend my weekends just cleaning it, It has an amazing sound from the exhaust system especially when pressed. I have 2 sets of wheels, one set in Black and the other set Diamond Cut.
My BRABUS SL has had many modification by BRABUS including the an upgraded light weight Supercharger Pulley (for more boost), additional charge cooler, additional charge cooler pump, BRABUS complete exhaust system with sports cats, BRABUS ECU Remap, the removal of the speed limiter! the top speed it projected to be well over 200MPH, it has 550BHP, 780Nm of Torque, BRABUS Reprogrammed ABC Sport Lowering Module for a lower riding height and many more changes have been made including the interior such as the BRABUS re leathered interior and more!!
As you can tell I am very passionate about this car, I also own another Mercedes model, I also have a 1991 500SL (R129) which I have had for 9 years which is still a great car to drive, it has covered only 60,000 miles, when I bought this car in 2002 it had covered only 30,000 miles, it's so smooth compared to the BRABUS, the BRABUS has a very potent (and addictive) power delivery, i would actualy say agressive but smooth at the same time. The problem is that I often have people in othe fast cars trying to test me such as Audi V8 R8, Porsche 997 Carrera 2S, Carrera 4S, 996 Carrera TURBO, Lambo LP560 "E Gear", Aston Martin DB9 and more, what happens is they see my car and often not quite sure if its genuine, they then proceed to tailgate me or even flash me to move over out of course I leave them looking at my exhaust pipes!!!
I have recently (October 2011) carried out some breathing modifications to my car, replacing the original Log headers with Kleemann High flow Headers, with Exhaust Decat, Replaced the original 74mm Throttle Body with a Eurocharged 82 mm Throttle Body and a Eurocharged Custom Live Map from the USA, this increased my BHP to 665 Bhp and my torque to 680 ib ft.
