Just to say that the other house went a couple of weeks ago. So if you are replacing one and the other one is slightly damaged you are best of replacing both at the same time.
Cabriolet Hydraulics don't have any couplers in stock. So I tried:
a) buying 4mm OD coupler from a specialist shop...
Public forum - so even if I accidentally hit 71mph that was only by accident.
It is a 7G pre facelift.
It is I think a tad over 90 degrees - engine may have cooled whilst I was fishing out my phone to take the photo.
Hi Deano
Here's where my thermostat gets to. It gets there pretty quickly even in winter - say within 2 miles. I think that it's technically 95 degrees.
With the old thermostat, with the perished seal, it only got to just over half way, took about 5 miles to get there. I lost about 10mpg...
Hi Deano
Mine was originally going up to I think 80-90 degrees when it was broken - I think that it is supposed to go up to about 95-100 degrees - quite a bit past the half way point on the gauge. If it is not getting up to temperature properly then it could well be giving crappy economy (and...
So far, I've not found it a particularly expensive car to run (touch wood). Insurance would be expensive at a group 43, but I'm in my mid fifties with full NCB - so my last renewal was I think £550. Don't do a big mileage - so I probably pay about a grand more on fuel than say a Nissan Micra...
Just to say economy is still a lot better than it was. Can get 45mpg on trip from Manchester to London when smart motorway upgrade and speed camera signs means a light right hand foot.
And 28mpg ish on short journeys around town.
Rarely see the 14.1mpg indicator that I used to always see...
Can I just ask does anybody know if I was to just buy a DAB module from a breakers whether I could just swap it over. There seems to only be one module code A1669003407 and they're as low as £40 on eBay. Presumably if I get one from a later car then it's more likely to either had the firmware...
The local MB Dealer won't even give me a price for the firmware update - just £55 for the initial diagnostics. I am awaiting a call back from another one 10 miles away to hopefully get a price from their "parts department". The local Merc Indy says that they can't do it with their STAR...
Hi Alfie
That's quick - no don't get Device Unavailable messages that I've noticed. It's more that it drops the signal after a few seconds - sometimes as long as five minutes - and then I think it says something like Network not Found - and then re-finds a station a few minutes later. Just...
Hi
I have a 2012 E Class Cabriolet which I am pretty sure has a NTG 4.5. The DAB reception is unusable - it drops out after after a few seconds / minutes - and I am getting fed up with just listening to Radio 2 on FM after two years. Having looked on the forums I am aware that this was a...
All done.
Got the kit- fortunately HMRC didn't add the VAT - so with postage it was $132 - ridiculous for what it was but bargain of the century if it holds. Took 4 days to arrive from the USA, and was advertised as kit especially for E Class A207 cabriolets!!
Guy (well I presume...
