Thanks for the info, but thats the wrong shape. My dealer quoted me £110 for the reservior and the cap/ dipstick. The one in mine is not cylindrical, more square in section, and slanted forwards.
Anyone got one of these spare? Mine has split along the moulding seam. Sits in the engine bay nearside next to the ABS unit at the front.

Thanks for the suggestion: My aeriel wasn't seized, so i guess it must just be through 20 years of use. I'd rather do the job properly, so will try the nut and bolt if I don't have any luck with a replacement.

So, Just to complete the thread -
The breakers yard provided me with a LHS vacuum actuator from a F reg 280SE and a LHS window motor and regulator from an L plate E class, and a J plate 190E donated its Drivers mirror, for the grand total of £50.00
All problems are now sorted :bannana...
