Thanks for the info, but thats the wrong shape. My dealer quoted me £110 for the reservior and the cap/ dipstick. The one in mine is not cylindrical, more square in section, and slanted forwards.

Hi Nick, Thanks for the suggestion: My aeriel wasn't seized, so i guess it must just be through 20 years of use. I'd rather do the job properly, so will try the nut and bolt if I don't have any luck with a replacement.

So, Just to complete the thread - The breakers yard provided me with a LHS vacuum actuator from a F reg 280SE and a LHS window motor and regulator from an L plate E class, and a J plate 190E donated its Drivers mirror, for the grand total of £50.00 All problems are now sorted :bannana...
