I get the idea of reducing under bonnet temps regarding wiring looms etc, but i would be more concerned about increasing the actual oil flow temperature in the turbo bearings which as already been mentioned would surely reduce the life expectancy of your new turbo cheers
Seeing that amount of oil in that area its a wonder that the swirl flap motor has not blown! which it usually does when the intake pipes leak because the motor is directly under that main large pipe
Mike, Follow the French and tax the Bejesus out of ICE vehicles, so that older, dirtier vehicles get scrapped. Their tax system nudges people into new small cars made by their own industry. Why can't we do this? are you really serious?
It would not end well over here, and don't think it will in...
Horses for courses cant compare EV for towing or distance mileage! in town EV OK but when you need a form of transport to be able to go anywhere any time then at the moment EV is not the answer

As above it seems to be that in previous attempts to repair they have taken the short cut and just replaced the copper washer without re-cutting the seat, the trouble is that after there as been blowby the aluminium seat in the head gets damaged and needs refacing to achieve a gas tight seal...
Hi, Its possible that whoever repaired the seal in the past just removed the injector and put a new copper washer in! without using a seat cuttting tool to clean the injector seat in the cylinder head which always needs to be done before re-fitting new washer and injector, Dave
Great choice there ALFAitalia, nice colour too lovely smooth V6 Diesel only pain i had was when it came to changing the fuel filter by far too much to remove to get it out but apart from that great all round car Enjoy
