I think the Vito takes an auxillary battery under the driver seat as an option or retrofit. (Sprinters take one in the engine compartment.) Otherwise, fitting depends what battery size/ capacity/ technology you have in mind?

I'm not familiar with the specific model, but on modern vehicles a battery drain when parked up is normal. How many Amps are each of those circuits using? Are you having trouble cranking the engine and if so, after how long since you last used the car?

Track up plus a compass indication solves both issues.

Well, here's a better shot of the logo. There's also an SAE J452383 marking. I can trace this as suitable for the vehicle, but not to any manufacturer. There are a few parts which need replacing now.

Thanks. Bilstein or Bosch are the only possibilities I've found for the Mercedes number stamped on the cylinder, but the other numbers don't give any product match for these companies. Maybe it is from a company which no longer makes or supports the product.

The problem part of the heater core is now encased in metal loaded epoxy. The leak has either dramatically reduced or stopped completely. Access wasn't great, so I'll keep an eye on it.
