JohnEBoy, yes the dealer wouldn't budge even when I gave them the contact at the other dealer to call, so I just said fine I'll drive 30 miles further. The idea re: the counter is an excellent one! Seems an easy thing to but obviously not worth the cost given MB have now pulled the SBC system...
