Hi ALecMac, I'm familair with all items of this German company. If your W140 is build in 1995 or after then the mirror covers will fit. Should be the same cover as for the W210 1995-1999 models. They come including wiring sets with fuses and a small sheet with installation instructions...

If I unlock\lock then both lamps in rear view mirror (green/Red) will blink for almost 1 minute. Normally only the green for unlock and the red for lock blinks. Have no manuals with the car, any idea's what this means?
