    Hi

    Hello and welcome :)
  2. Quackers

These aren't too common are they?

Yes I thought that too. You might as well drive it with 70k on it already but it would need to be cheaper for me. Having said that there are only 5 of them in total.

Why do many motorcyclists/motorbikers seem to ignore speedlimits?

Such hostility towards bikers from a couple of you. I find myself wondering why it matters so much to you. Live and let live I say. After all the speeding motorcyclist is much more likely to injure him/herself than anyone else (though that is a possibility). I wonder if it's just the Victor...

My 507 Coupe and it's new Quaife LSD

Indeed. You can't accelerate when engine power is being cut.

My 507 Coupe and it's new Quaife LSD

I'm guessing that MB thought that their electronic wizardry would stop anything too serious occurring at the back end so they thought the LSD would be superfluous.

    JAY LENO'S 1966 LOTUS CORTINA

Yes it did. I think he's speaking of a normal MkI Cortina. If I remember correctly the normal MkI engines were pre-crossflow - ie the exhaust and inlet were on the same side of the engine. Positively archaic :-)

Taxing a car I'm collecting Today

I thought the dealers had been instructed to not let new cars leave unless they're taxed there and then. Not true?

    Extended warranty?

Maybe that's what I read. It's a while ago now. So that's the breakdown coverage then? That's worth while I would think. Thanks.

    Extended warranty?

That always seemed more realistic but that's not how it read to me. So basically if you have an oil change they'll guarantee that the oil won't break down and the filter won't self destruct over the next 12 months. Well that'll be peace of mind then! What a bonus! Don't get that anywhere else...

    Extended warranty?

Don't you get a full 12 months warranty on having it serviced at MB? I'm sure I've read that in their blurb.
